Withfriends works with hundreds of event Organizers, and we want to highlight some that really work especially hard to make their member communities so special.
Creating space for people to gather is one of the most important ingredients to community growth, and these are some that we like the most.
Mayday Space
Mayday Space is an organizing hub and neighborhood resource for arts, activism, and community events. We are collectively-run, curate social justice programming, and make our space available to grassroots groups at an affordable sliding-scale.
Red Emma’s
Worker cooperative radical bookstore and cafe, founded in 2004. We provide a platform for free events amplifying authors and social movements, while demonstrating that an economy without bosses is a practical alternative.
Here is an (infinitely) incomplete list of community spaces we love; primarily art, music, or activist spaces, but also independent retail.
Some with membership programs, all of which worth a visit.
Are we missing any of your favorites? We’re on a mission to find every place running an awesome membership program (or that should be).
